Details:

  • Years of exposure left the Leahy home with a failing roof, worn siding, and clogged gutters
  • The original 3-tab shingles were poorly installed, warped, and infested with moss and algae, leading to widespread leaks
  • A portion of the roof had an extremely low slope, which caused significant drainage issues and water intrusion
  • Exterior Medics replaced the low-slope section with a durable flat roofing system using TPO membrane, carefully integrated with the surrounding roofline
  • Installed GAF Timberline HD shingles in Williamsburg Slate for a cleaner, longer-lasting finish across the rest of the roof
  • Replaced the full gutter and downspout systems with 6" seamless white aluminum gutters and 3x4 downspouts for improved drainage
  • Added EZ Lock Gutter Screens to reduce future clogging and maintenance
  • Enhanced trim with thick linear features and added joints to downspouts for better water redirection
  • The existing lap siding was faded and damaged - replaced with Mastic Quest vinyl siding in a modern Deep Granite color
  • Discovered and repaired underlying wood rot during demolition - replaced compromised boards and added an ice and water shield for protection
  • The chimney had sustained damage over time - Exterior Medics repointed the structure, replaced cracked areas, and installed a new cap
  • A custom chimney cricket was built to improve drainage and extend the life of the structure
  • The project left the Leahy home looking refreshed, structurally sound, and well-defended against future weather conditions
