The Sanderling Project

Details:

• Rebuilt 120 upper-level decks across 7 buildings at the Sanderling Condominium community in Centreville, VA
• Their previous vendor failed to meet quality expectations, prompting the community to partner with Exterior Medics
• Worked closely with Community Manager Meghan Flynn from FirstService Residential and a structural engineering firm to coordinate project logistics
• Demolished and rebuilt each deck, including frame, KDAT floorboards, railings, and support structure
• Installed Pro-trim vinyl flashing, pressure-treated wood framing, and applied Sherwin-Williams Super Deck paint for a long-lasting finish
• Removed and replaced siding with updated vinyl and new underlayment for improved protection and appearance

• Created a detailed schedule to minimize disruption to residents and ensure consistent progress
• Used a dedicated staging area and experienced crew to keep the workflow clean and efficient
• Delivered the full rehabilitation within one year, on time and on target
