Julien Freville did not expect to fall in love and change the course of his life when he went to Nicaragua a few years ago. But on that trip, he met his future bride. That started an adventure that would lead him worldwide and eventually to a home with Exterior Medics. Along his journey, he has been to 52 countries and 25 states here in the US. That certainly gives him a basis for comparison when he says that his teammates and customers are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
The D.C. Way Won His Heart
Julien might be a little biased about American people since his wife is American. Julien is French, and he grew up in Brittany, an area known for the renowned Morbihan Gulf, one of the most beautiful bays in the world. The Bay has copious rain and is the birthplace of the crêpe. After he met his wife in Nicaragua, they attempted a long-distance relationship. After a short stint at that, they then moved on to an adventurous life together in Dubai. When it came time to move, Julien was passionate about wanting to live in the US. The couple explored cities like Chicago and New York before agreeing that Washington DC would be the best fit for them. The beautiful parks, the international feel, and the ability to travel easily from the East Coast to places around the country and the world made DC the ultimate selection. During his visa application process to the United States, Julien could not work or leave the country. That free time allowed him to travel to the areas around him, taking many trips to visit unique places of interest. He indulged in one of his greatest passions – discovering many individual architectural sites.
It Was Architecture!
A love of architecture led Julien to Exterior Medics. Julien has been in sales for most of his career. He has had the chance to hone his skills at customer service and responsiveness in various industries, including selling halal poultry in the Middle East! When it came time to look for work, Exterior Medics drew him because it was an industry where he could bring his side interest into his work. As a sales consultant, Julien is the first person a customer meets at Exterior Medics, and his focus on customer service allows him to excel at his job.

Solutions-Oriented
Working with his customers, Julien gets a great deal of satisfaction out of the investigative aspect. He spends up to 90 minutes studying each potential job, using photographs, detailed measurements, and specialized software. According to Julien, “I like to discover the right problem and fix it with the right solution.” While he hands off the project to the production team after making sure that the team and the homeowner are on the same page, he enjoys going back to visit the site once the job is completed and ensuring the client is completely satisfied.
Familiar with the pros and cons of different size companies, Julien says he loves Exterior Medics because it offers the top rate processes found in large enterprises with the trust and flexibility more typical of smaller outfits. This combination made it very easy for him to integrate with the team when he joined Exterior Medics. Julien appreciated the ground-up orientation he received that helped him launch successfully after two months of intensive, hands-on training. He believes the trust and support of management enabled the company to transition into COVID-19 protocols in 24 hours when he is aware of local and international companies that struggled for months. “It is the team spirit of helping each other out that made a difference,” he says.
