Exterior Medics continues its incredible growth and expansion in 2021, and no area is more explosive than the multi-family division. To continue building relationships and supporting a key local association, we signed up for the Property Management Association annual Expo on October 7, 2021. The Gaylord Hotel at National Harbor hosted hundreds of members, and Exterior Medics met, educated, and entertained the participants.
A Staycation?
Exterior Medics’ Property Management Liaison, Gabriela Torres, and our Marketing Director, Cross Jimenez, represented the entire team for some fun-filled hours. They got a head start when some team members assembled the booth the night before, so Gabi and Cross had a great set-up to decorate the morning of the event. They went all out with signage, and they got into the company theme by wearing medical outfits.
With a table full of gifts and a bar serving complimentary premium cocktails, the appreciation goal of the event seemed covered. But Exterior Medics went one step beyond by holding a raffle with a hotel stay, dinner for two, and a “monuments by moonlight” tour in Washington, DC, for the lucky winner. Faith Price with Capitol Property Management became the lucky winner of the staycation! The prize went along with the theme of the event – reimagine. “We wanted people to reimagine how much time they could get back by partnering with Exterior Medics on their projects,” said Gabi. “And with all that time, what could be better than a staycation!”
The Future of Expos?
The event was well attended, and PMA did a fantastic job with the organization. To accommodate the comfort level of all participants, the organizers handed out color-coded stickers to indicate what sort of contact would feel safe. The gregarious Cross wore green, and Gabi wore yellow, but she admits that she hugged an old friend nonetheless. “The stickers and the entire event showed where things are headed in event management, and we were impressed,” said Gabi.
Attack From All Sides
While Gabi stayed close to the booth, Cross made the rounds to meet other vendors and attendees. They both made meaningful connections throughout the day with management firms and individual property managers, and potential partner vendors like in-home services, restoration companies, and specialists in asphalt and foundations. It quickly became apparent that Exterior Medics’ masonry services are in high demand. Stonework like tuck pointing and retaining walls requires the kind of expertise and commitment to quality that Exterior Medics brings to all its projects.
Exterior Medics plans to continue its program of engagement and appreciation. Nearly every week, there are events like golf tournaments and other activities where vendors like Exterior Medics can thank their existing clients and spread the word about their business. We hope to see you soon.
